Two of my very favorite people tied the knot in September on a mountaintop outside of Seattle. True to Cammie and John, the weekend was breezy and relaxed and filled with laugh attacks and many a bear hug. And of course, there was no shortage of wildflowers, cold beers, and stunning Northwest vistas.
There were several throughout the weekend, but the ultimate ‘freeze frame’ (a term my mom coined for taking a mental snapshot) came when Cam emerged from the gondola and walked out to Irish bagpipe music with her dad, her veil blowing in the wind with the mystical, cloud shrouded Mt. Rainier as her backdrop. I could still bawl my eyes out just thinking about it.
To no one’s surprise, the bride and groom outlasted all of us at the after-party that night.
